Nacho Sancho Ancho
Ancho chiles—the dried version of poblano peppers, sweetest of the dried chiles—are added in measured amounts to Bat Outta Helles to achieve just the right blend of pepper flavor and heat in a crisp, refreshing lager. Winner of the 2008 Funkiest of Show Award at the Alamo City Cerveza Fest Brewed by: Kerry Martin, Austin Zealots. Will be brewed for the 2009 GABF Pro-Am.

Original Gravity, the starting density of the liquid before fermentation, relative to water which is 1.000. Values given both in Specific Gravity and degrees Plato.

Final Gravity, as dissolved sugars are converted into alcohol during fermentation, the density drops closer to that of water. The difference between the two (OG-FG) is used to calcualte alcohol content.
